Optional extras

Sails

The sails you can order from your local sailmaker or buy from us. They should be made of 160 g/m² polyester, or even better, Clipper Canvas/Oceanus 300 g/m², preferably of cream or light tan colour.

Rowing oars

Our "sail & oar" boats can be rowed if the wind dies (or your outboard engine is not working). The Ilur can be rowed with 2 pairs of oars, but most users keep only one pair.

Sculling oar

Sculling from the stern with a single oar is very practical in a crowded port without space on both sides of the boat for normal rowing. It is also more efficient than many people think!

You can (carefully!) use a normal rowing oar for this, but a dedicated sculling oar is stronger and has a slightly different shape.

Boom-tent

A boom-tent is very practical when you are in port, the boat is dragged up on the beach or at anchor. It will protect you from wind or rain and also ensure your privacy when sleeping over-night in the boat.

Galley box

A galley box built to fit under the thwart when not in use and containing pots and pans as well as a stove with pan holders for cooking hot food or drink will greatly enhance your comfort on board, specially on longer trips.

Cockpit table

Wine & dine in comfort and style after a good sail! Also good as a chart table to plan your next leg.

Stable folding table on pedestals made to measure to fit your cockpit. Full dining table when unfolded, smaller table for drinks when folded. Easy stowing away when getting under way again.

Tiller lock

Our fully adjustable but simple tiller lock will allow you to take your hand off your tiller, without the rudder zig-zagging all over the place. It may be set so that left alone the tiller stays in one position, but still easily steared when hands on.

The tension is adjusted or turned on/off with the knob on top of the tiller.

Gold leaf name or decorations

The boat name or other embellishments in gold leaf is much more beautiful than just gold paint.

If desired, it can even be made using 24 carat gold!
